Manette Park Improvement Project
The Manette Playfield has fallen into a state of disrepair. Our outdated playground equipment no longer has replaceable parts. When a piece breaks it is simply removed, leaving a gap from one side to the other. After several well attended community master planning sessions, the Bremerton Parks & Recreation department has come up with a concept plan to recreate our park so it is a place that inspires children and families to get outside, build community, and improve the health of our neighborhood including environmental design elements summarized here.
BREAKING NEWS! BREMERTON PARKS FOUNDATION GIVES MATCHING GRANT TO MANETTE PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (MPIP) DURING LAST MONTH OF CAPITAL FUND DRIVE!
The Bremerton Parks Foundation (BPF) award of a matching grant will double the value of donations during April 2017, the last month of the Manette Park grass roots campaign.
For every dollar raised and deposited with the Kitsap Community Foundation BPF will match up to a maximum of $6,500.00. Currently, the amount of money raised is $67,000.00. If you have been waiting to see more bang for your buck, the time to donate is NOW !
Remember, this funding drive ends May 5, 2017. If we don’t reach our $75,000.00 goal, we will not qualify for the $750,000 in matching grants from the State of Washington, or the $180,000.00 commitment from the City of Bremerton.

The estimated cost of the Manette Play Field redevelopment is $1.4 Million. We are actively seeking several competitive grants offered by the State as well as a National grant to fund this project. Community support is a vital piece of the grant selection process. We need to raise $75,000 of seed money to meet the grant criteria.
With your generous gift the Manette Playfield will be a place that brings the community together while being a safe and fun place to play!
